We spoke that day mainly about the hadith, the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, that specifically concerned Jews and their diverse and apparently limitless character failings.
This sort of conversation, while illuminating, can become wearying over time, at least for the Jewish participant, and so I was happy to learn that Mr. Rayyan had his own sore points.

Maybe to only way to achieve Peace, can only be through Enlightenment and knowledge of History and Geography. Never through weapons, armaments and violence, which has certainly been an everlasting loosing battle.
We cannot eat bullets and bloodshed only brings misery to all of the world.
Instead of tanks, firearms,bombs: FOOD and Love.

We need to ask tough questions

Once again, as in the run-up to the War in Iraq, too few people in Congress and the mainstream media are asking tough questions.
Few people seem willing to ask whether the main solution that's being talked about- sending more troops to Afghanistan--will actually work. If the devastating policies of the current administration have proved anything, it's that we need to ask tough questions before deploying our brave service members--and that we need to be suspicious of Washington 'group think.'
Otherwise, we are setting ourselves up for failure.
