The Early Word: Nice No More
Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama exchanged niceties at a debate last week in Austin, Texas. Over the weekend, however, Mrs. Clinton took a decidedly different tone against Mr. Obama (calling his message one of “magic wands” and “celestial choirs”) and said she couldn’t wait to debate him in Ohio.
That next debate — the last before the important Ohio and Texas primaries — comes tomorrow, so we can probably expect a tense Monday ahead of that event. Mrs. Clinton is set to give a big address in Washington, and Mr. Obama will campaign in the Buckeye State.Flip flops are nice on the feet, but the other kind of flip flop isn’t nearly so comfortable for politicians.http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/25/the-early-word-nice-no-more/
