Palin: I think, with Ahmadinejad, personally, he is not one to negotiate with. You can't just sit down with him with no preconditions being met. Barack Obama is so off-base in his proclamation that he would meet with some of these leaders around our world who would seek to destroy America and that, and without preconditions being met. That's beyond naïve. And it's beyond bad judgment.

In a moment of historic drama in the Capitol and on Wall Street and considering that neither presidential candidate offers any significant proof of understanding the issues of survival, preoccupation and the meaning (or increasing lack thereof) of the human condition, and global harmony,we must look around and search for more unique individuals,with a background that is more cerebral and therefore more capable to give us the answers that all of us are looking for on this earthly journey.

The aye-aye is a primate -- the same order that we human beings belong to. What did you learn about the social behavior of aye-ayes?

We think they're relatively solitary, but I did follow several individuals who seemed to be moving in pairs. One animal would be in a tree feeding and another animal would be in an adjacent tree feeding. And then they would call to each other. They'd make those calls right before one individual moved to another tree -- and then the second individual would follow. So it seemed that they were foraging in tandem. That was kind of unusual and something that we hadn't seen before. Research scientist Eleanor Sterling spent almost two years stumbling through the dark forests of Madagascar in an effort to better understand the aye-eye, perhaps one of the most endangered species on the planet.

(Mittermeier et al. 1994; Simons 1995; Sterling 1995).Other unique morphological features of the aye-aye are its inguinal (located near the groin) mammary glands and nipples and its persistent oogenesis in which the female produces ova throughout her lifetime (Petter-Rousseaux & Bourlière 1965; Sterling 1993a). Also, the aye-aye possesses the largest brain among the prosimians (Erickson 1995). A final feature very rarely found in primates is the presence of a nictitating membrane (third eyelid), which moistens the eye when it becomes dry (Sterling 1993a; Sterling & Feistner 2000). This membrane may also protect the eye from wood debris when the aye-aye is gnawing on wood to extract larvae (Sterling 1993a).(Note about blinking)

The ears of the aye-aye are extremely large and moveable, presumably to assist in locating larvae in wood cavities through percussive foraging (Simons 1995). Percussive foraging may in fact rely on touch and not on auditory clues at all (Erickson 1994). The aye-aye possesses large, ever-growing incisors, which it uses to gnaw wood and to access the subsurface larvae it locates through tapping. This feature of ever-growing teeth is unique among primates (Simons 1995). It also uses its rodent-like teeth to gnaw at nuts and hard-shelled fruits (Sterling et al. 1994, Sterling 1994b).

There is little to no sexual dimorphism in the aye-aye (Feistner & Sterling 1995).

In Ancient Egyptian mythology, a sphinx is a zoomorphic figure, usually depicted as a recumbent lioness or lion with a human head, but occasionally with the head of a falcon, hawk, or ram( and now, a moose or a pig).

The figure had its origin in the Old Kingdom and is associated with the solar deity Sekhmet, who also was the fierce war deity and protector of the pharaohs. She remained a strong figure in Egyptian religion throughout its history, even during the Amarna period's temporary exploration of monotheism. The sphinxes were often described as Sekhmet's children.^[clarify] The use of heads of other animals atop the lioness body followed the titular deities of the city or region where they were built or which were prominent in the Egyptian pantheon at the time.Later, the sphinx image, or something very similar to the original Egyptian concept, was imported into many other cultures, albeit often interpreted quite differently due to translations of descriptions of the originals and the evolution of the concept in relation to other cultural traditions.

Generally the role of sphinxes was as temple guardians; they were placed in association with architectural structures such as royal tombs or religious temples. Perhaps the first sphinx was one depicting Hetepheres II, of the fourth dynasty that lasted from 2723 to 2563 BC. The largest and most famous is the Great Sphinx of Giza, sited at the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile River and facing due east, is also from the same dynasty ( 29°58′31″N, 31°08′15″E). Although the date of its construction is uncertain, the head of the Great Sphinx now is believed to be that of the pharaoh Khafra. What names their builders gave to these statues is not known. At the Great Sphinx site, the inscription on a stele erected a thousand years later, by Thutmose IV in 1400 BCE, lists the names of three aspects of the local sun deity of that period, Khepera - Re - Atum. The inclusion of these figures in tomb and temple complexes quickly became traditional and many pharaohs had their heads carved atop the guardian statues for their tombs to show their close relationship with the powerful deity, Sekhmet.

Other famous Egyptian sphinxes include one bearing the head of the pharaoh Hatshepsut, with her likeness carved in granite, which is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the alabaster sphinx of Memphis, currently located within the open-air museum at that site. The theme was expanded to form great avenues of guardian sphinxes lining the approaches to tombs and temples as well as serving as details atop the posts of flights of stairs to very grand complexes. Looking Ahead: The McPain Presidency Changes

Ms. Palin said, “we don’t know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they’re listening, and turns around and talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and their guns when they’re not listening.”

The crowd booed mightily.

....and highlighted her image as an outsider. “We got to remember what the desire is in this nation at this time,” she said. “ He told Ms. Palin he had asked Mr. McCain about her national security credentials and that Mr. McCain had pointed to her commanding of the Alaska National Guard and noted that Alaska is close to Russia.

Are those sufficient credentials?

She appeared extremely rehearsed, especially when she repeated three times that she did not want to “second guess” Israel.

Watching last night's the Circus Republican show of sorts with Senator McPain and Ms.Alasqueaky,mad me wonder about what reality is all about.

Six million +people ,including my family were attacked and murdered by Hitler,and since then the world has been spinning every moment deeper into violence and incredulity.To claim heroic traits,for voluntarily entering a military career, getting hurt as consequence of being part of an attack on innocent civilians,children,women and men in a distant country, Senator McPain is no material for a leader.

His new counterpart,Ms.Alasqueaky hardly represents womanhood,the nurturing and creative voice to address our needs .In fact she is a perfect set of contradictions.

In her squeaky manner,her words come out as set from a textbook for dummies.It is appaling to watch the ceering of acrowd so out of sink with

what is happening.Dressed as clowns,waving empty posters with nonsense words in sight. Oh,no!

We all need to assess our understanding about existence,the formidable voyage that is called Life.So few are in tune and conscious about every individual's sense of being.

Basically,the same ,more of the same,parrot talk about absolute distant

motives for how we all on this planet should try to co exist.

Primarily the food factor is totally ignored, a issue with uttermost significance,as hunger leads to weakness,disease, revolt and anger.

A leader does not need a chorus of sycophants.Or false pretext to prove his or hers ability.It comes with his or hers persona.

John McCain:“and they helped me keep at bay the unsettled feelings of guilt and self doubt my confession had aroused.”

Mr. McCain’s 1974 thesis, though, also revealed a welter of other emotions about his years as a prisoner of war, including a deep anger at those he considered collaborators, a tough-minded disdain for public hand-wringing about captives like himself, and a sharp impatience with the American government for failing to “explain to its people, young and old, some basic facts of its foreign policy.” But at the same time, Mr. McCain also urged that any military survival training should include lessons in what he called “the necessity to forgive.”

Mr. McCain’s paper sheds new light on the experience that first brought him national attention and remains a staple of his campaign commercials. His conclusions hint at themes of his career, like his habit of making peace with former enemies. And his arguments that the government and the military should have done more to convince the voters and the troops about the case for the war in Vietnam echo in current debates about Iraq as well.

Some officers fresh from Vietnam questioned the premise of the war. “The vast majority of generals who had experience in Vietnam will tell you we should never have gone past the advisory level,” said John H. Johns, a retired Army general and a student at the college that year. But in Mr. McCain’s paper, he instead focused on the failure to sustain public support for the fight.
